£13 for a beef joint to feed 5 with enough left over to make sarnies for 3 days is fairly good value, I though

All roast meats are generally a good buy.
but when you can get a rolled pork joint or a chicken for ~£6 I generally go for them. Plus crackling/chicken stock bonuses from those.
