Here in God's own city we are well-blessed with good take away restaurants
Favourite Chinese has an English Chinese menu and a Chinese Chinese menu. They have a small eating area which is always full of Chinese students - I think that's a good endorsement.

It always draws people back
Where are all these good takeaway restaurants then?

The Chinese is at the bottom of Gosford St
I can recommend a few good Indian ones on the Foleshill rd - the cafe opposite what used to be the Wolfe has great Keema Mutter.

The Panjab Sweet Centre?
There's nowhere good on Foleshill Rd any more, none of them seem to prepare dishes fresh.

I quite like the Panjab
Try Sweet memories a bit further down towards the blue ribbon island as well.

To be fair I haven't been down there for a while
There used to be a fairly decent Sri Lankan place, but it got closed down by the Health Inspectors.

Sweet memories is an Indian cake and snacks place but they do a couple of curries
Basic but very 'home - style' authentic. Excellent samosas too
