I Kneel Before Lord Legless (innuendo intended)
I was going to post this in the reply to my earlier thread about Hot-Eye problems, but I feel I should pay proper homage to our Lord Legless in his own separate thread.

He has worked through the night (our night, probably his day) and solved the mystery for me, I now have all my CDs converted to VLC-friendly files!!

In line with the fluffehness of this group, I'd like to go all soppy and say how overwhelming the responses I got from you all were, considering none of you have ever met me (well, knowingly!) and that there are people out there who are willing to help perfect strangers for nothing.

Even my know-all techie boyfriend who I cannot wait to lord it over with the knowledge that there are people out there who know more than him. Mwa ha ha. The solicitors in the firm also have a newfound respect for geekdom so they will hopefully hold off with the nerd jokes for a while!

But I think the "Lord" Legless is a bit OTT.


I had fun tracking that stuff down. Once I started I was infuriated that I couldn't find that damm hvc format. The breakthrough came from one single PDF article, in Italian. Bow down to the power of Google. The whole of the Internet and only one document that references it. Google is pretty amazing.
