What're you doing to see in the New Year?
I'm making a large batch of french onion soup, playing a bit of Fallout and getting an early night. I'm fucking rock and roll, me.

Isn't Fallout 3 a bit slow? I played the original Fallout and loved it, and I tried F3 but... slow.

I may stay up till midnight just to be daring.

When you get to my age, another new year is just a year closer to my pension : (

Fallout 3 is a bit slow
I started it last night and it's ticking over. Started to get a bit more interesting after about four hours wandering around the wasteland. I quite like its pace actually. Much better than Stalker.

Edit: blaireau - her backdoor or yours? Off Topic must know!

Heh - I gave up on F3 and tried Left 4 Dead. Damn near made me shit myself! I wasn't expecting the zombie rush!

Company of Heroes is my game of choice these days. RTS WW2 stuff.

edit: i guess it may depend on how much belgian beer i have...

Traditional Edinburgh Hogmanay
ie no street party. It's fucking freezing out there! Nice warm house - my neighbour's turn this year. Faaaaar too much alcohol. Falling into bed at some ridiculous hour, staggering out again tomorrow afternoon. Followed by the usual vows of "never again" and copious amounts of Irn Bru ....

Chinese and films with the gf while she babysits
But she's got to kick me out at midnight or so, so I'm left with the choice of driving home, walking some miles in the freeeeeeeeeezin cold to a party where everyone will already be properly battered, or going to bed. Rock and roll...

French Onion soup..
..there's an idea. With croutons. I need something healthy. Not sure I'll have even one drink tonight. I've been telling people not to come round 'cos I feel like a miserable, unhealthy bastard and I don't want to commit to any more fucking festive revelry. People are pissed off at me. I'm looking forward to having the house entirely to myself this evening for the first time in ages.

Fuck partying. Done too much of that this year. I'm partyed out. The high-water mark has been reached. So, rock and roll all round..
