apart for a couple of poor (and I mean, REALLY poor) puns I've got nothing for this week.
I've always liked living alone.

I have plenty, but I need time to compose them. I need to work up the appropriate amount of vitriol.

Yes, I was working on some puns - possibly tied into that hospital series House, but I couldn't get them right, so I'm just going to hang around and comment. And - vitriol needed Pistonbroke? Your housemates where that bad?

Who don't deserve to be listed in the genus "Homo". I'd barely called them trained gibbons. Oh this is going to be cathartic.

I look forward to reading it! Hmm. Quick question HSH folks - I'm out of DVD series to watch at the moment, and looking for more. Any reccomendations? I'm thinking something in magic realism or damn weird - think Neverwhere, Twin Peaks, American Gothic and such

I don't know about magic/fantasy but here's some good ones:
Prison Break (Absolutely brilliant)
24 (Long Live Tony Almeida and Jack Bauer)
The Sopranos (very good)
Jonathan Creek (Terribly underrated show)

Didn't he solve mysteries and live in a windmill? And thanks for the reccomendations :)

Well, Supernatural are Millennium two good series. Movies wise you can't do better than Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I watched it after a fairly nasty breakup - and so much of it hit home. Millenium I've heard good stuff about - wasn't that the one written by the guy who wrote the X files? Supernatural I've seen I think...

Yep, that's the one. Really taxes your brain.
Also, "Mad Men". That's good.
One more recommendation:
"Slumdog Millionaire". Such a good film.

Well, thanks for the suggestions guys! I shall keep an eye out on Ebay and amazon for those series - and it's also reminded me I should get me Eternal sunshine on DVD...

Looks very interesting though. On the subject of graphic novel interpritations - is anyone else praying to every god available that they don't cock up Watchmen?

and anyone else she can persuade to join us before she heads back off to Yankee-Land. As this is a 'microbash', it's not on the calendar.
If you feel at home in the HSH threads, you'd be welcome at a bash.

It's heart-stoppingly pant-wettingly tongue-swallowingly foot-chopping-offly I'd-rather-have-cancerly terrible.

How could it possibly be worse? EDIT: and yes, The HSH threads are both fun and welcoming... As is most of B3TA. Sounds like a plan :)
