The Geek Social Fallacies
Because we are - let's face it - a collection of quite geeky folk, I give to you The Five Geek Social Fallacies.

Can you think of any bashes that fall into these patterns? Do you want to point the finger at anyone?

Do tell.

I've never been to a bash
so I can't point the finger at anybody.

But I wouldn't point the finger in the first place. I'd most likely just keep it to myself.

Unless it's bert or Al.

I think GSF6 would be that there is always one or two people who everyone craves the attention from. Whether it be a kick in the guts or willy up the jacksie, or even both at once, there's always a member who will happily provide such a service.
In B3ta's case that position is vied for by both Bert and Al.

I think you're on to something
"The Alpha Geek".

Although I was told last night that in person Al is quite... um... reserved.

wow really?
guess Bert wins then.

I never would have guessed that.

But maybe it makes sense - I'm pretty damn shy in person if I don't know anybody.

If you can fake it for the first five minutes
you can manage the rest of it, I've found.

You've lasted more than 5 mins
Lights?

Sheesh.

I'm rapidly turning into
a bash-whore.

Except I'm not going to Edinburgh because I'm too lazy.
