and heaven knows...
As you may know thanks to the QOTW of a couple of weeks ago, I've been unemployed for a few months now.
I applied today for a job where the weekly rate = my previous daily rate. However, it's a job, albeit for 6 months.
I've got an interview on Monday.
Should I take it, just to get out of the house and working ?
Or is this short-term madness ?
Comments please, b3tans...

Getting out the house is always good. Wee bit of pocket change of course and allegedly it's easier to get work if you already have a job.
Allegedly..

I've mulled this over while having my dinner and decided that if you can manage financially then go for it.
Better to be working than sitting at home watching Loose women and picking fluff out of your navel.

a 21 year old sweedish masseuse who is quite loose, i'd stay at home watching her all day
*may not be true
loose women *shudder*
i'd sweep out horse stables that have had a case of the trots for free than watch those ignorant harpies, or Jeremy knocknocker kyle
Random rant over, take the job, you never know what random opportunities it may lead to.

If you can afford to.
Much better to be out of the house and working. Who know where it may lead?

I'm in *exactly* the same position and I'm bordering on sucking cock for money. You don't want to suck cock do you? Well!? Do you!?

take the fucking job.
why do you have to ask?
sheesh, what's the world coming to?

I'm now essentially testing prototype products for hifi companies and reviewing completed ones- my lounge looks like the set of Weird Science. It might be paying some money but it isn't a real job by any stretch of the imagination. On thursday, I didn't actually speak to another human- typed at them yes- spoke to them no. Do it to stay sharp and in form as it were.

I had pretty much made up my mind to do it, but you're right. I don't think it will lead to anything long-term, but like you say, it keeps me using my brain, which has begun to atrophy.
Let's just hope they give it to me...the job that is...we'll see, I'll keep you informed.
Wish me luck !
love and wet kisses to you all...
