I'm in a really fucking good mood.

Having daughter around the house is completely wonderful, the weather kicks arse, I walked seven and a half miles in the sun yesterday, and I've got enough money to get by.

What's made you happy recently?

Ah mate I'm really pleased for you.
I had a wonderful three hours with my little girl on Sunday, pottering about in the sunshine around the Columbia Rd flower market that's over the road from my flat. I was carrying her and she fell asleep in my arms in the cutest way imaginable. Everywhere we went people stopped to tell me how lovely she is.

This may be a little shallow but I felt so proud I could burst. I need to point out that this is only the second time in her 9 months of life that I've been out and about with her - I'm not just some kind of smug twat. Not just one of those...

That's incredibly sweet. Far too sweet for b3ta :)

Being proud of your kid doesn't make you smug or shallow; it makes you perfectly normal.

aww No3l and Monty
that's awesome.

/fights broody feelings.

What's made me happy? Um - talking to my mum about moving to the UK and having her freak out then tell me she's coming to visit me. I'm *moving* to the UK next year! As in not just visiting! MOVING.
*wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!*

Now to hang on until I can start my life over when I get there!

That's brilliant! Except the money thing. But it's all relative, right?

VC - wait til you've lived with our weather, and constant obsession thereof, for a year. You'll soon be sick of us.

At the moment
what's fascinating me is welding. Last night I spent a chunk of time experimenting with welding brass to brass. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it now.

And why? Because I have a major stained glass project in mind that I'm working on.

Pics will follow eventually.

EDIT: Speaking of- here's my latest piece that I've finished. Pic here

I burn like fuck in the sun. I am obsessed with the weather. I like the rain and I can't wait to see snow and feel it soak through the bottoms of my jeans.

I will feel more at home there then I ever have here!

You'll fit right in.

Im common as muck, me but I like nice things.

The dichotomy made me smile.

I saw an advert for Doner Kebab flavour Pot Noodle last night
This gives me fear and happy in equal measure.

I think
Fear and Happy is the best way to describe that.

They certainly know their target market, eh?

Fear and Joy in a Pot Noodle
has the feel of a good title for a book about drug-induced mania in England. Now you just need to go for a long weird ramble and rant around the countryside while you're tripping your balls off.

Don't forget to take something to type with.

well,
yesterday I spent the whole afternoon lazing about and reading by the river.

There was neither a cloud in the sky nor a breath of breeze to take the edge off the sun. I had a picnic to nom, a Salman Rushdie novel to read, a comfy blanket to lie on, birds to listen to, fish to watch jumping about, and nowhere to be. It was bliss. I felt like I was on holiday. And it was Monday.
