anyone heard about this?
just had a horrible american-style email about it

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tear_of_Grief

but it's weird that it hadn't been more widely publicised...

Is it just me
or does the memorial look like a wrecking ball knocking down a big tower?

The Minge of Sadness.
Brilliant.

A phallic symbol that includes some cuntery.
Nice.

Huh
I actualy kind of like it. I think it's the contrast of the metal and stone, and the fact it looks kind of like a wrecked belltower.
(, Fri 24 Apr 2009, 15:10, Reply)
it does look like all of these things
although it is all metal, rather than metal and stone
(, Fri 24 Apr 2009, 15:13, Reply)
Huh...
From the small wiki photo I could swear it's orange sandstone or something. I'm less interested now.

bronze coated steel or something
it says in the article...
(, Fri 24 Apr 2009, 15:20, Reply)
Ahh. I read the bit about it coming from Russia
and the price. Must have missed the bit about the materials. It's kind of strange it hasn't received more press realy. It's an interesting peice of art though.
(, Fri 24 Apr 2009, 15:24, Reply)
it was the lack of press that led to my posting this
very strange.

In Soviet Russia, monument twats YOU!
So what was it about this email that was so horrid and American?
(, Fri 24 Apr 2009, 15:53, Reply)
it was a powerpoint thing with lots of stars and red, white and blue
the way it constantly repeated everything it said and the way it finished with a massive picture of an eagle with a sappy statement.

I don't much like overwhelming patriotism, coming from anyone.

£5 goes to...
...the first person to fly a remote control plane into it.
(, Fri 24 Apr 2009, 16:15, Reply)
Ah. Yes, I agree, that's pretty wretched.
Flying an RC plane into it would be about perfect, though.

If they don't see the funny in that, they're fucked.

And btw, yes, it does look a lot like a strange mimsy with a freakishly large clit.

Isn't the word 'mimsy' just lovely.

(smiles vacantly into space)

I first encountered that term here:

Just a thought...
But maybe the fact that it's a gift from Russia is the reason it hasn't received an overabundance of press? I don't particuarly want to go all tinfoil hat on you all but let's face it the US and Russia have never exactly gotten on particuarly well.
(, Fri 24 Apr 2009, 17:33, Reply)
It is a massive, metallic Uber minge
Now rather than an engorged clit, I viewed it as a glistening globule of cock custard coating the capacious clopper.

Damn my alliteration!
