Christ do you all only listen to metal and it's derivatives?
Guitar Hero has a lot to answer for.

What do you like then?
Also, everyone on here so far liked that music a long time before GH came along.
(, Tue 12 May 2009, 16:36, Reply)
Yes
I doubt GH has anything to do with peoples taste in music. If anything it ruins the song.

I know that but it's fun to have a jab.
I have been recently listening to M83's new album.

a) no
b) that's a rather silly remark, no?

Whilst I was being a bit of a twat
I do think GH and it's ilk are partly responsible for an increase in the popularity of old rock music, that and people wanting to know what the band on the t-shirt they bought from top man sounds like.

Maybe...
But we all find out about music from somewhere. And if they hear a few Iron Maiden tracks on Guitar Hero and then get into it and love it, I fail to see the problem. Plus, the more people who do that, the more people we can feel musicaly superior to!
(, Tue 12 May 2009, 16:43, Reply)
The feeling superior bit is the most important bit.

(, Tue 12 May 2009, 16:49, Reply)
Oh absolutely.
Of course, music snobbery is the best bit about being into music! There are even key phrases to help you! Such phrases as "Yeah. I saw them before they got too mainstream" "I prefer their earlier work", "Have you heard xxxxxxx? They where a real influence on xxxxxx, but they never realy got as much critical acclaim".
(, Tue 12 May 2009, 17:01, Reply)
I was into The Beatles before they formed.

(, Tue 12 May 2009, 17:04, Reply)
Yeah?
I'd already got over them way before they formed. They totaly sold out before they formed.
(, Tue 12 May 2009, 17:09, Reply)
I liked them before biological life had evolved anywhere in the universe.

(, Tue 12 May 2009, 17:15, Reply)
I kinda liked them....
Sometime around the big bang. They where cool back then.
