My entire mouth feels bruised
I got my Tongue pierced yesterday, and I already can't wait to get the long bar changed out for a shorter one.

oooooo.
pics?

That sounds painful and fun at the same time.

No pics yet
The actual piercing didn't hurt, but because I have such a long bar in (to accomodate the tongue swelling), it's proving mighty uncomfortable.

Oh dear
Are you able to eat yet? That was the worst thing when I had mine done.

A couple of weeks and hopefully you should be able to get a shorter bar. Don't forget to look in to vibrating bars...

Vibrating bars are being looked in to ;)
I haven't tried solids yet, although tomorrow my Dad is cooking up a nice Thai lunch...

solve all of life's problems.

Icecream is full of win for tongue piercings
Helps it go down and really numbs it all.

Tis fun quirting jelly through the hole too...

I did not know such a thing exists.
It sounds almost worth getting pierced for.

They are very good
Work on both men and women. Excellent for a quick finish, but they do feel odd in your mouth.

LM
Not sure how effective this would be and I'm certainly not qualified to advise, but have you tried ibuprofen as an anti inflammatory?
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 11:00, Reply)
I was thinking along the same lines
I'll give it a go, can't hurt :)

Seconds this
and don't be afraid when the layer of slime appears on your tongue. It's your tongue's natural defence mechanism.
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 11:26, Reply)
Seems I've run out of Ibuprofen
Will have to nip to the shops after I shower.
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 11:29, Reply)
Don't use listerine either for a few days
It hurts!
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 11:27, Reply)
I'm using watered-down Listerine for the first few days
Not so bad.
(, Sun 24 May 2009, 11:29, Reply)
Thats good
I used neat listerine the day after without thinking because my mouth just felt so crap. I was told my screams could be heard at the other end of the garden, and we never got the green stains off the wall,

WHAAAAAAAAAAAT????
You didn't consult your Ma & Pa on this! Snuck off and did it behind our backs, eh? Well, I hope you had it done somewhere clean and reputable (I'm talking about the premises, not your mouth, honey ;o)).
