He wanted to play with it too :)
I was on track and trace all morning at work to see if they'd delivered it or if I was going to have to go Customer From Hell at Dell. When it popped up that he'd signed for it I was so relieved!

Most excellent
We used to use the same carrier (Lynx) at work a couple of years ago - they really are awful. Dead cheap though for getting stuff to and from Ireland. Then when they delivered my laptop... reminded me why I always go and buy things in person. Four attempts at delivery, before they laft it in my greenhouse (and squashed my tomato plants too).

Got £100 off Dell though, which was nice.

Walsh Western, to my knowledge.
When I googled them, because I'd never heard of them, I found a whole site of cases of their crapness. Speaking as a customer relations monkey, I'm horrified Dell don't offer compensation or goodwill gestures in cases like these...

You have a go at them hard enough, they will
It's like getting blood from a stone though.

I'm familiar with Walsh Western too - they're on my blacklist as a part of Lynx. I'm very picky as to who I use as a carrier at work - I'd rather pay more and not make the money than it not get there at all and have an unhappy customer. Who will then shout at me. I dislike being shouted at.
