I've been tinkering...because I can
In the past when I turned on my netbook I was greeted with
this boring old screen.

After wasting huge amounts of time dicking about with paint (I really need to learn to use GIMP properly...) I'm now greeted by by favourite Mon Calmari Admiral Akbar!

The BIOS I upgraded to in the process of changing the image seems to load up much quicker. I might downgrade again so that Akbar is on screen for longer.

There's no need to tell me how sad I am.

This is not sad
It's rather nice, really. An excellent image - stick it on the main board.

Wish I coud do that to my netbook loading screen. No point though, as it flashes up for about half a second. Might steal as a wallpaper though, with your permission?

I didn't create the image. I stole it from the interwebs and made some alterations to suit it's new BIOS shaped home.

Next aim: Get my netbook to say "It's a trap!" while it boots (This will almost certainly never, ever be done).
