It's my stag soon and I have foresworn strippers*, paintball & quadbikes in favour of a nice meal, a few cheeky pints of foaming nutbrown ale and good company. It's pointless doing an activity that everyone will hate just because 'it's what everyone does' ..... If y'all like goonies, champers and curry then more power to your elbow.
*Maybe one stripper

but the best man is in the throes of elaborate planning already, despite the groom not wanting one at all. I'll be there with a false beard on.
Yeah, I quite like the movies and food thing, but am worried that I'm supposed to be doing something meaningful and interesting.

I've been to tacky, shrieky hen-nights and I've been to quiet ones too. I prefer the latter - nothing better than good food, good booze and a good film (and by good, I mean one you'll enjoy as opposed to one that some vacuous film-reviewer thinks we ought to see).

Is that the only people who like the whole "Down 20 bicardi breezers, pull that fat shy guy instead of his fit mate, drop your knickers in the middle of the street" kind of thing, is only really enjoyed by that girl who you're too polite not to invite, and has a bit of an aggresive alchole problem.

Ours have always gone along the lines of:
Manly outdoors pursuits.
Beer.
Lap dancers.
Restaurant.
Beer.
Gambling.
Heavy metal club.
Kebabs.
All culminating in finding you're £250 lighter and have a head that feels like Dale Winton shat in it. Gentler shindigs are the way forward.
