Here's a question for you all ... I'm a big fan of alternative music, and by that I DON'T mean Linkin Park etc. For years I've been a fan of Aphex Twin, have all the albums and some unreleased stuff etc. Also well into Squarepusher, Cylob, Venetian Snares, some Luke Vibert stuff (not all), to a lesser extent Boards of Canada and most recently Wisp (signed to the Rephlex label, which I'm a BIG fan of).
Correspondingly I get strange looks from people when listening to my music in public, or wearing my Bang Face t-shirt (www.bangface.com). What music wouldn't you listen to in front of your mum?

But I wouldn't listen to most of my music in front of my parents.
Especially not The Berzerker, Deicide, Pig Destroyer or Behemoth!

But wouldn't play any Endymion, Armageddon Project, DJ Nosferatu or DJ Daisy to my folks!

... a shameless plug I'm afraid. Find more details at www.bangface.com. London's best neo-rave and the reason why I brave the Megabus from Manchester every other month to visit. Lots of acts, £10 a ticket, hosted in an old abandoned warehouse, raves like they should be. Next one is on Friday I think, well worth visiting though I won't be there :-( .
Also some surprising comedy to be found in the rave banners (check pics), banners that people hold up during performances. Best I've seen so far are 'CILLIT BANGFACE', 'MORE E, VICAR?' and the absolute best, 'DALE WINTON IS A JUNGLIST'. Wtf?

I own S Club 7 too. And it smakes me smile slightly when listening to it.

I own all three albums and enjoy listening to them in secret. Same with far too many Disney compliations.

I nearly put my Custom CD on when I was at my parents' house and then turned red when I pictured listening to Hey Mister with my dad in the room.
Fuck Her Gently by Tenacious D, he's fine with, but songs mocking a man because you've defiled his daughter, not such a good idea.

was thinking about playing Play Your Part (Part 1) to my dad, as he'll appreciate the Spencer Davis Group, but the "My bitch a choosy lover, never fucks without a rubber" on top wouldn't go down too well.
