So I'm a cynic
I went to the "Peace festival" in Leamington yesterday. In amongst the hand-knitted tofu, radical poetry and free-trade biodegradeable Llama wool dreamcatchers were some interesting stalls (not one of the fuckers selling meat but hey ho) with jewellery etc and some good music.
It was whilst I was watching a reggae band, munching on a crepe filled with cherries and cherry brandy, that one of the organisers stood next to me nodding his head to the beat. He looked at me and asked in a faux-street stylee "Whaddya think"?
As I do like reggae, and partially because he was such a twat, I replied "Not bad - for a bunch of middle-class middle-aged white people, but then look at your demographic, there's more trustafarians per square metre here than you'd find in Sloane square" before wandering off to the Tai Chi demonstration.

Do these events piss you off too?

Nah they don't piss me off, nor do they mildly annoy me,
it's more that they mildly amuse me.
Hence why I go.

I tend to avoid events that piss me off, but if it lets you get on your high horse, then I suppose it can't be so bad.
No offence or anything, great forum banter.

"Not bad - for a bunch of middle-class middle-aged white people, but then look at your demographic, there's more trustafarians per square metre here than you'd find in Sloane square"
dosn't that make you some kind of racist against "middle-class middle-aged white trustafarians"?

LOL

I can accept these things up to a point but after a while
I can't take another self important shitebag droning on about how they made a raffia work model of the polar bear which they claim to have saved by recycling all of their razors by giving them to emos.

I see words here, and individually I know what quite a lot of them mean, but when put into this kind of sentance, the meaning aludes me.

He's saying after a while,
it's just a massive wankfest.

At the last "above mimum wage" world meet up, we all decided to grow dreadlocks and listen to regae.
Don't worry, I'll try and get it vetoed on next month's one.

To be honest
Those events don't piss me off at all realy. Usualy quite a nice way to spend an afternoon or so. I was just summarising for a hungover person

They don't piss me off
but I don't frequent them because it's not my thing and I have far bigger things to be pissed off about.
