I wanted to be a writer
but my mum said that was something I could do in my spare time. One of the reasons I admire chickenlady so much is that she does it FOR REAL.

I also wanted to be am archaeologist - that's still my passion - so I became one but there was no future in that so now I'm a professional geek, though I prefer my official title of Lecturer in Computer Science.

I wanted to be an archaeologist for a while,
I blame Indiana Jones.

I was put off archaeology
by Horrible Histories.
Basically said - "You want to be an archaeologist? Take a rock. And a hammer. Shatter the rock. Put it back together again. NOW you're an archaeologist, but you have to do it with things that are worth shit."

And anyway, I don't like the sun. I'd get burned to a crisp.

I'm not in gainful employment yet. I want to work for Lush over the summer, but need to apply for that ^_^ But as for future plans, I dunno.

Trust me you don't want to work for Lush
I did for a year or so and it was shit.

Hmm.
It's the cheap stuff that attracts me - at the moment I have sliced lemons and effervescent Vitamin C tablets in the bath, because I can't have anything else :/

Other than that, I'll probably just go for a standard job over the summer. Don't know what area, but hopefully NOT waitressing.

Nothing in there is cheap
and you'll find that rose is in everything and it costs thiiiiiiiiiis much.

My mate worked in Lush
I thought she smelt gorgeous all the time, but she had grown to find the lingering fragrance as abhorent as the pervasive smell of chipfat that covered me when I worked in a kitchen.

I hate the smell now
and BASTARDING GLITTER. If I need anything from there I use mail order or get a friend to go in and get it for me.

I think my mate does the same!

My sister has a degree in Archaeology
But she ended up using her A-level German to get a job in Germany as a translator and has been there ever since. I think she's now an office manager over there.
