In the 80's I was but a bairn, so even prosethetic fake monsters that were clearly just actors in suits seemed far scarier than the 3d gimmickery you get today.

And the fact that Werewolves, Aliens and general freaks were actually plausible to an 8 year old.

The lead characters mate who returned as a ghost (or zombie??) freaked me out, what with his entirely missing NECK!

Can't remember the plot too well, only the scaries
