for the rest of the evening
I will be listening to Johnny Cash and NIN in rotation. Sorted.

I really like the fact
That a lot of people think that his version is the original.
That's the mark of a Mighty Fine cover.

Where do you place
Natalie Imbuglia's version of 'Torn' then? Since most people think it was the original...

Not that I've heard the original, I have to say.

Oh, also 'Here's Where the Story Ends' by Tin Tin Out. The Sundays were much better and they did it first.

Oh...
Who was it by in the first place?
(, Thu 18 Jun 2009, 20:28, Reply)
What, Torn?
Not sure but one of the original line up of the Cure wrote it, I think.

/name escapes me for now.

Do a cover of "The Final Countdown"?
(, Thu 18 Jun 2009, 20:22, Reply)

(, Thu 18 Jun 2009, 20:24, Reply)
They did quite a few covers,
they did "Life is Life". I should dig out the stuff of theirs that I have. Not sure if "The Final Countdown" is one of their covers but if it isn't, it should be.
(, Thu 18 Jun 2009, 20:24, Reply)
YES!
"Laibach also memorably re-work Europe's glam metal anthem "The Final Countdown" as a Wagnerian disco epic."
(, Thu 18 Jun 2009, 20:26, Reply)
and who doesn't love
Wagnerian disco epics?
(, Thu 18 Jun 2009, 20:31, Reply)
I think it's fair to say
That if you don't, you should be shot.
(, Thu 18 Jun 2009, 20:33, Reply)
