Thats prob fair call.

I have a work provided one. I use it for phone/sms/calendar/email only, synched to Outlook. Thats all I want from it. If I could improve it for my needs I'd ask for an AM/MW radio and of course a more powerful battery.

One non normal feature I like is the light associated with the video camera... bright as buggery and handy for finding dropped things at night etc.

I heard this, and I could be wrong...
The only reason Blackburys are popular is because when Sprint (or AT&T, one of the US Mobile Operators anyway), RIM and [one of the major banks] all were at the same function, and they hooked up eachother to make a ton of money, then once one started using it, along with a fair few celebratys, everything clicked into place.

I've always managed to link up all that stuff, with Notes too, into Outlook/Lotus, but find now I OTA link up to Google, which is basicly iMap and Exchange combination, and that seems to be the best sollution.

You're right though, a more rugged Blackberry (it would have to comrponise on the keyboard somewhere; their major selling point) would probably make big bucks.
