.
Virtual wholemeal please.
(, Sun 21 Jun 2009, 9:13, 1 reply, 17 years ago)
i only have real wholemeal...
but i have virtual sourdough.
(, Sun 21 Jun 2009, 9:15, Reply)
I'll go for the virtual sourdough.
But if you've only got real marmalade, I'd have to pretend my iPhone is a slice of toast and cover it in marmalade and eat it. Oh well, at least it'll give me the excuse I need to upgrade to the iPhone 3GS.

okay...goes like this...
i have virtual sourdough but real wholemeal.
i have real orange marmalade but virtual lemon.
real wholemeal+real orange=virtual wholemeal+virtual lemon.
virtual sourdough+real orange=real sourdough+real lemon.

As much as I like it, I would look into the N97 first, and maybe the Palm Pre if that ever finaly comes out.

(, Sun 21 Jun 2009, 9:39, Reply)
call me a fanboy if you like...
but i'm not really that techy. i've looked at the n97 and played on a g3iphone and i simply prefer the way the iphone works. but then again i prefer macos to windows!
(, Sun 21 Jun 2009, 9:45, Reply)
I've not touched the N97 yet.
Apple's intrigation into Google Mail/Calendar/Contacts is far better than S60 though.
(, Sun 21 Jun 2009, 9:53, Reply)
i think i'll be mainly using it for...
fart-noise simulation, just like spakka.

I'm ordering my HTC magic tomorrow :D
Would do it today, but calling on a weekday gives you a better chance of someone useful on Orange customer services so I can get my PAC code...

wot's a htc?
and is it really magic?

There has been nothing using Android that makes me think 'wow' yet.
The simple truth is that it's just like any other transaition from a comercial sollution ('Adobe', 'Windows/mac') to a Open Source one ('Notepad++/GIMP/Whatever', 'umbunto/other lynix flaours').... it'll do the same job, some jobs it'll do better, loads of the stuff is free... but it never quite feels as polished and lacks beezle curves.
(, Sun 21 Jun 2009, 9:52, Reply)
Ah, but....
Its free on a £25 a month contract. (still with unlimited (or at least "unlimited") data).
Its not massively 'wow', but still rather good. I agree with your analogy though, and if I already had a smartphone, I wouldnt be getting this, but since I don't (got a 6300, want something shinier), then I'll go for the rather good but cheap option.
Also, its an open platform with java support, so more apps will become available fairly quickly (there's already one that turns it into a metal detector!, unsure yet whether it goes UUUIIIP! or UUUUUUNNNHHHH!)
(, Sun 21 Jun 2009, 10:06, Reply)
Ahh, yah', it's very good as a low-end smartphone, and naturaly, it has all the seemless links into google.

(, Sun 21 Jun 2009, 10:25, Reply)
but i's still going wth the g3s...
so folks will think i'm a gayer.

*confuses*
Typo 3G-S, or Google G3, or something else?
