Today I has passed my mid-year review with flying colours.
What's made you immeasurably happy today?
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 18:48, 38 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
The simple things
I just ate pringles out of the tube by tipping it up and drinking them, thereby saving greasy fingers and leaving a hand free to internet with. Efficiency for the win!

Does that make me a terrible person?
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 18:50, Reply)
Not at all.
It makes you practical, efficient and a good multi-tasker!
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 18:54, Reply)
Finished my outfit for tomorrow.
The next time I decide that hand sewing 300-odd beads on a skirt I will only wear once is a good idea, please, somebody give me a good kicking.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 18:56, Reply)
Bloody hell!
What are you going to, to warrant such intricate needlework?
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 18:57, Reply)
That's madness
I'd give up at bead three.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 18:59, Reply)
Belly dance performance
Why the hell I couldn't buy a costume, like a normal person, I have no idea.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:00, Reply)
Wow :D that's dedication!
I've always wanted to take it up ever since a housemate of mine at uni did and bought a belt with bells on so she could time her shimmy right. Sounded like a thousand cats running to meet you!
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:03, Reply)
It's great, you should try it.
Hahaha, now imagine a whole class full of those belts :D
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:04, Reply)
Like a million kittehs!
I would quite like to, if I can find somewhere to do it in Ashford - then again I have said the same thing about the gym, poledancing, kung-fu and guitar lessons... my one true hobby is writing and you can't get fit doing that.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:05, Reply)
I pole dance too.
I can't recommend that enough. Brilliant work out and so much fun... I'm developing abs of steel.
All that's left on my list now is burlesque.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:29, Reply)
I may well have to get a pole.
My old housemate had one in her bedroom when we lived together and they're quite easy to assemble, apparently.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:32, Reply)
Ooh
I can pole dance (badly). Less useful as a bloke than you might think...

If you want a pole, collapsible or semi-permanent, my best friend sells them through her dancing school. I can linky you if you like.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:36, Reply)
Please please please!
*pictures flatmate's WTF face*
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:40, Reply)
That is rather impressive
Well done for managing that, not something I would have had the patience to do. If I do, can I pay you to do it for me?
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:01, Reply)
Depends how much you wish to pay me.
But otherwise, certainly.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:03, Reply)
The realisation that until september I will only be spending 2 weekends at home
This feels extremley good.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:00, Reply)
*nods emphatically*
Living with parents FTL. Come and live in my hall cupboard. We have wifi. Or under my bed.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:02, Reply)
Damn kids
I pay silly amounts to live in a nice big house on my own.

Then proceed to spend my weeks working and my weekends visiting people back home.

Bah. I should buy a motorhome and live on the road...
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:04, Reply)
One of my colleagues lives in a caravan and she is all of the awesome.
I pay stupid amounts out of my wage to live on the other side of the country from my family and it's worth it to be sane :)
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:06, Reply)
I'd be happy with a small flat!
Sadly, cannot afford it. Want a new job, then house.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:09, Reply)
If you're willing to a) wait till August 2010 b) move to Kent and c) kill spiders for me
you can split £575/month before bills with me!
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:12, Reply)
No!
You can't kill spiders! They're nice!

Don't make me post you a tarantula!
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:44, Reply)
They are teh ebil.
They freak you out and dangle in your face and lay EGGS on your stuff and drop on you in the shower and ewwww. Do not like.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:45, Reply)
Falseness
1) They are mega
2) They eat lesser insects
3) They sometimes escape and you find them in the wackiest places
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:52, Reply)
They nom teh flies
and that is good. The rest, no. Kittehs are aceness because they chase them and eat them!
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:54, Reply)
Flies are too small
For Ultimate Deathspider 3000 to be interested in. She only likes locusts that are the size of cigarettes. Or on one occasion, a plastic stick that she took a bit of a dislike to.

On an unrelated topic - tarantulas can dig through a 1" polystyrene box, escape and make a nest in a bedside cabinet - who knew?
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 20:00, Reply)
I still live with my parents >_<
Then again, I still get free prescriptions too.
For still being of school age.

I'm going to have to lie my socks off and get about 4 months of my drugs in advance; I don't want to pay!
(It's people like me that are taking the state down...)
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:09, Reply)
Get a haircut!
And a job. Damn hippies!

Eeh. I remember when all this were fields...
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:10, Reply)
My mum keeps nagging me to do that.
Haircut AND job.

Pah.

My hair's not even long, it doesn't touch my shoulders.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:14, Reply)
Not long now though sweetie...
... be prepared to never want to live there again once you escape, though.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:12, Reply)
You are heading to university though?
Still free, as far as I remember. They were for me.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:13, Reply)
Oh yeah!
I hope so. I need to ask the doctor's about that.

And yes, uni. that means living away from home for longer than a month!
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:15, Reply)
Having a large shit

(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:12, Reply)
That beats my getting a new job hands down.
Texture?
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:17, Reply)
Rough and then smooth
just like a Lion Bar.
(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:18, Reply)
You been eating enough roughage?

(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:20, Reply)
I think it was the cactus I'd inserted for an experiment

(, Fri 3 Jul 2009, 19:21, Reply)
I resigned
from my job

WIN
