So I just lose days then if it's a weekly or monthly travelcard?
What a fucking rip off. So then oftentimes I'll be paying for 3 days that I don't need. But to do it on returns will cost me so much more. FUMES.

Surely choosing a weekly or monthly pass which will work out cheaper than return tickets
Is worth it, even if you won't use every day?

Yeah, it's just the principle I object to
as I'm paying for days I wont use.

MTFU.
Or walk.
(, Wed 8 Jul 2009, 18:54, Reply)
Ooh plan there. Walking
It's only 8 miles from Charing cross
(, Wed 8 Jul 2009, 19:02, Reply)
Ha!
You can dish it out but you can't take it.
(, Wed 8 Jul 2009, 19:05, Reply)
I'm willing to walk it
so long as you do the same
(, Wed 8 Jul 2009, 19:06, Reply)
I don't need to.
I get a lift to work from a fantastic gay man.
(, Wed 8 Jul 2009, 19:06, Reply)
So, MTFU and walk instead then
You can even cultivate an inferiority complex in your fantastic gay man while you do it. Win win.
(, Wed 8 Jul 2009, 19:17, Reply)
So?
If it's still cheaper then who cares?
(, Wed 8 Jul 2009, 18:58, Reply)
I'm a stickler for principle

As far as I know they don't do a fixed-number-journeys travelcard, just fixed-time-period ones.
1-3 costs just under £30 a week if I remember right, so if all you're going to use is 8 single journeys it won't save you any cash - an Oyster single in the rush hour should be about £2.80. If you're going places on the other days, with the odd bus journey or stop off elsewhere, then it might be worth you getting one.

It includes the overground too which is quite nice
as I live in zone 3 and work in the opposite zone 3, so I'd be paying out a lot more for singles past the tube bit. In that sense it's worth it, but irritating all the same as it would be £9 a day otherwise.
