In retrospectHiding the cake by standing in front of it probably wasn't the best idea. Perhaps you could fix the leaks by plugging them with cake.

Adhesive icing with a good solid cake-body would do the trickand for good measure, if it was the customer's birthday, the cake-plugs would have a candle on them too.

You could use the candle holders as the cake substitute of rawl plugsI wonder just how much weight you could hang off one? At least two bushels of kittens I'd have thought.
