Captian V says the UK spends more money on mobile phone ringtones than nuclear fusion research...
It made me wonder just how much we spend on things compared to the amount spent on Crazy Frog Et Al.

Anyone have any ideas what the figures are for example Cancer/aids research to Mobile phone ringtones?

Trying to find the figures for mobile phone ringtones and fusion now
I think it's approximately £1bn (might've been £100m, can't remember) on ringtones and something less for fusion. That's my vague memory of what was said in the Horizon documentary I watched about fusion.

I'm amazed at the number of blkoody adverts selling mobile ringtones.

Here in Spain, they are practically constant - and always the same songs as well - for months, one channel was avdertising Amy fucking McDonald constantly.
