Macs....
If you lived with CHCB (which would be weird) you'd frequently hear me cursing "fucking macs". I like them in some ways but I spend most of my time frustrated by how arcane the interfaces are (although the GUIs are very pretty).

In my case I think doing compsci will probably be the better option as things like interface design and OS development particularly interest me.

Leave the Macs alone!
Why, when I was your age I was using DEC Alphas and Sun stations. I then served my time with Linux so I am now entitled to a nice shiny Mac, best of all the halfway houses. And you can use the terminal window for everything if you consider things arcane. You're just bitter cos you ain't got root.
