Too late
I had left over pizza instead.

(You can tell I was drunk, because it was ham and pineapple. No one sober ever buys ham and pineapple)

Morning
Yesterday I went on a walk in the North Downs in Kent. This was somewhat hilly but the scenery was spectacular. That evening, we all went to a country-pub that served extra-strong cider with the inevitable consequences.
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:19, Reply)
"inevitable consequences"?
pant splittage?
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:24, Reply)
Nope
but our group-leader was a bit too keen to show us her tatoo. Also while we were waiting for the train back, we played drunken charades (my film was Ghost Busters), and we had a discussion about orgies on trampolines. All in all it was a fun night.
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:36, Reply)
That depends
entirely on where said tattoo is...
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:39, Reply)
It was in an interesting place
She was sitting at the corner of her table and thought she could get away with showing everyone a sideways view, but that didn't stop the person who was getting the next round in from having a better angle.
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:43, Reply)
With mirrors?

(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:47, Reply)
Nah
We were sat round the table and the person getting the round in approached from the back.
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:56, Reply)
Ninjatastic
Now I want to know what it was!
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:57, Reply)
Even though I had a good view, I've forgotten what the tatoo was
Not sure if it's the alcohol or the 'distraction'.
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 12:00, Reply)
A healthy combination of the two, I imagine.
*wants tattoo but isn't sure what of*
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 12:03, Reply)
I keep thinking of getting a tatoo too
but can never seem to finalise the design. I'm thinking it's design would be based on the Hacker Emblem. Perhaps some of the circles would be substituted with things that represent other aspects of myself.

Morning!
I'm awake and wondering when, if ever, my flatmate is coming home.
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:29, Reply)
Morning
Have you considered the possibility he's run off to form his own cult?
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:38, Reply)
Wouldn't surprise me, to be honest.
He went because we had a spat and is probably twanging a sitar about now...
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:39, Reply)
Was this caused by the strains of living together or some other reason?

(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:44, Reply)
Bit of both really.
He wants to move out at some point soon if he gets a better paying job, and because I'm a sap I'm going to miss him (the job he wants will involve moving to Dover), and don't want to get another flatmate if I can't keep the lease on my own.
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:47, Reply)
Is the lease in his name or yours?
From what I've heard, things are inconsistent to say the least when one flatmate leaves a shared flat. Also, would you be able to afford the flat on your own?
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 11:59, Reply)
The lease is in both our names, but the rent goes out of his account because I hadn't started work yet.
I think it'll be entirely up to the discretion of the letting agent/landlord, and that worries me. Money would be tight for a while, but I could afford it, once I get fully out of my overdraft, and in a couple of months I may have someone to take the lease over from him.

Also, I should have mentioned I know where he is: he went to his mum's; it's just a matter of when he's coming back.
(, Sun 16 Aug 2009, 12:02, Reply)
.
If things don't work out for you, at least you could move into a smaller (read: cheaper) flat. My studio flat is ... shall we say ... minimalistic - but it serves it's needs (and besides it's a lot easier to clean).
