Morning All.

WEll for me it's the last week of the holidays and I am starting to have nightmares about my new class already!

How's stuff in your world? What up coming events have you worried?

Hi mrs Bin!
Don't let the little fuckers see your fear - they'll use it the second they know!

My world is a haze of bad music and turps fumes. :P Up coming events? Ummmm exams in two and a half months would be a biggie.

Morning
I'm being seconded in September so that's a little nerve-wracking. But currently all is right with the world.

I have a balance of mundane and exciting in my life at the moment.
For the first time in years, I've done the lottery twice in one week. You'd assume that was a sign of discontentment. Or maybe I've just spotted loads of things I want to buy. And I suddenly want to travel lots. I dunno what that means. Maybe I'm just ready for new stuff. I feel like a sponge at the moment.

/tries to wring out.
Nope. Not a sponge. sorry dear.

Are you sure?
I was certain I was channelling 'sponge'...

Nope. Sorry.
/hugs squeezily.
/checks for oozage.

Nope. Definitely not a sponge.

By the cracking sounds
we can safely assume that I am indeed a vertebrate!
Cheers for the squash.

no probs m'dear.
how's tricks? Aside from sponge-like?
(, Mon 24 Aug 2009, 11:42, Reply)
Things are ok. I think.
I hate saying things are good when I think they're good, just in case I'm wrong and fate punishes/laughs at me. When things are mildly ok or bad, I say they're great, to show just how happy with my lot I am and to indicate that I don't need any more bad luck.
I have no idea whether this makes me a pessimist or an optimist.
How's tricks with you?
(, Mon 24 Aug 2009, 11:47, Reply)
It makes you confusing for my head but it obviously works for you :P
Tricks be okay here too. not too bad - not to brill. just cruising.

I'm an incorrigible headfuck
I fuck up my own head.
I'd be better off carrying some baggage and pondering important things, but instead I feel like an alien who's just landed. It's exciting, but confuzzling.

Well im worried about my impending end of contract and whether they will renew it.
But on the positive side I watched How to Lose Friends and Alienate People last night and not only did I think it was a great film I also got an unexpected horse BJ halfway through. Bonus :P I'm feeling pretty smug this morning but only because I'm married and therefore don't get that kind of treat often, not even on my birthday.

thanks for the grin.
:D

Just made me chuckle.

Stuff in my world is great
Job has settled down a bit, much drinking has been going on, and I have somehow aquired a girlfriend! Only thing that fills me with doom is the prospect of 8 nightshifts at the end of september!
(, Mon 24 Aug 2009, 11:51, Reply)
Hey, long time no see!
Glad you're getting into your job. Well done on the lady acquisition too.
You just never know where life's going to take you. Well, it'll be taking you to sleep-deprivation rather soon, but you're a dab-hand at that so I wouldn't worry!
(, Mon 24 Aug 2009, 11:56, Reply)
Yes, It's been a while!
50+ hr a week is not good :(. However I've actualy got a contract now, so it's all good! Yes, life is strange sometimes. Weird directions. And yes, I am very good at sleep deprivation! Something of a talent of mine. Anyway, there's plenty of coffee at work so it's all good. How have you been?
(, Mon 24 Aug 2009, 12:01, Reply)
I've been great
I've had a few mini-adventures, made some new friends, got rid of some flotsam and jetsam, had some summer lovin'. I've realised I can't really afford to change my career right now but I'm looking forward to the bullying and harassment support role starting in September.
I'm getting better at the lack of sleep thing too. Power naps :D
(, Mon 24 Aug 2009, 12:11, Reply)
Sounds like you've had a fun time!
Shame about having to stick with your current job, but I guess that if you know what you want to do, and stick to it you'll get there eventualy! And yes, never got the hang of powernaps myself, but for some reason I'm in one of those periods where I only need a couple of hours of sleep a night, so all is good!
(, Mon 24 Aug 2009, 12:32, Reply)
Well I'm going to spend the rest of the day making signs to go up in my class
Most are stuff like the days of the week and how to sit on the carpet nicely.

What other signs should I put up?

"Don't pick your nose...
...you won't go the party."
(, Mon 24 Aug 2009, 12:20, Reply)
Don't bite the other childeren
Take your tounge out of the windowhinge if I'm closing the window.

If you keep making camel noises you'll have to leave the room.

Copying your work is not an excuse for stabbing someone else with a compass.

I found myself saying such things rather more often than I thought I would when I was working as a classroom assistant! Fun times....
