I got sprayed with CS gas on the street by a hoodie on Friday.
I had to go to A&E and give Evidence. A&E in East London on a Friday night isn't pleasant, with all the thugs giving doctors and nurses grief.

So my question is this: how would you deal with drunken thugs, covered with cuts and blood, who give you grief while trying to carry out your job?

I used to when I worked in a scuzzy offy
I had a syringe pertaining to be filled with LOLAIDZ and a really bad replica gun pointed at me. I always said fuckit, take what you want and leave me a box of cigarettes, just don't hit me. I wasn't insured, the shop was, so I couldn't care less about the takings.

It would be wrong for a doctor or nurse to choose whom he or she will treat
unless it is a purely medically-based decision.
However, if A&E staff genuinely feel that their patients might harm them, I should think it would be OK for them to administer a lethal injection, via the bollocks/eye/throat.

Hmm quite easily
one nurse told me. I spent a lot of time in Intensive Care and nurses delight in telling stories of things they had done in A&E. She said that there were various methods of getting people to behave including needles (a lot of thugs *hate* needles apparantly), threatening them with HIV, and in one memorable case calling in three porters to hold one down while she told them in graphic detail what toxic septicema would do his body.) She might have been exaggerating, but knowing how horrible she was, I seriously doubt it.

Don't ever believe the whole 'terrified nurses abused by members of the public.' Some nurses deserve everything they get. Not all, just some.
