Overlong, overblown, tediously grandiose...
Are just a few descriptions I can apply to Meatloaf's music. Never saw the appeal, although I think the man himself is someone I'd like to have a pint with.

His music is a cliche within a cliche
wrapped up in an operatic rock score for people that don't like rock.

I went to a wedding do years ago and a Meatloaf track came on. Two guests that no-one had apparently seen before got up and did a fully worked out and choreographed dance routine to it. It was the biggest pile of self indulgant wank I've ever bore witness to.

The dancing wasn't much better
