so you're taking off tomorrow, but you're not sure what you'll be doing that will keep you from drinking?
*confuddled*

You'll be drinking all my drinks
along with b69's drinks.
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 19:45, Reply)
how about I just drink my drinks and you can drink your own

(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 19:49, Reply)
How about you get drunk on behalf of everyone else?

(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 19:51, Reply)
this circle here, it's never ending

(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 19:57, Reply)
The circle has been unravelled
and it's now a hosepipe that stretches from me and b69's pubs all the way across the Atlantic.
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 20:03, Reply)
Well let me break it then.
I have the finances, lack of commitments and inclination to get as pissed as a little beetle tomorrow night.

Regrettably it appears that my drinking band of brothers are all otherwise engaged.

As we know, B3TA closes on Friday evenings, so what must I do?

Befriend random strangers in the local would seem to be the best option.

Good timing
I was just getting worried that Maladicta's contribution might just be the one that bursts Kristine, so you can tap into the transatlantic alcohol pipeline to ease Kristine's load.

best way to go, I met some great people that way
people alchies
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 20:14, Reply)
That works in the US
Although a UK accent opens doors in the US in most bars, especially out of the touristy bits.

Doesn't always work here though.
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 20:31, Reply)
I clearly replied to the wrong post here
yikes

but yes, having an accent would most likely open loads of doors here, a girl I knew in highschool went to france after graduation and people made fun of her accent
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 21:02, Reply)
Back in the States, they just luvv'd my accent - especially in the Deep South.

(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 21:07, Reply)
I'm sure the girls thought you were the best thang sense sleyesed brehd

(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 21:10, Reply)
In certain places
But most spectacularly Colorado Springs, CO., my accent opened rather more than just doors.
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 21:13, Reply)
loads of trousers?

(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 21:17, Reply)
And then the Americans refer to them as pants
and the British say I can open the pants as well.

Ah well, at least if us Brits do flash ourselves, we can blame it on a transatlantic misunderstanding.
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 21:23, Reply)
pffffffft
I've never heard such a ridiculous argument as "Pants v Trousers" or "Pants v Underwear"
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 21:26, Reply)
It's all a load of pants anyway
But I like the "name the next stage of clothing after the previous" technique as an excuse to all get naked.
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 21:29, Reply)
Frankly
Upon getting to that point semantics tend to be the last thing on my mind.
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 21:32, Reply)
No thank you.
I have plenty of trousers.
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 21:25, Reply)
Gadgee! Marrar!
not saving yourself for next friday?
shame on you!!!
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 20:22, Reply)
How pissed
do little beetles get then?
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 20:34, Reply)
Little Beetles everywhere
Scurry about their little beetle nests, saying "we'll get as pissed as a TD tonight."
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 20:44, Reply)
Clever :)
I shall remember this.
(, Thu 8 Oct 2009, 20:45, Reply)
Awww, bless, what a sweet turn down.
