Bit of a computery question.
I'm at work trying to install .NET Framework 3.5 on a laptop with no internet access. I've got it downloaded on my computer and written the folder "3.5" to a CD. Could it be as simple as copying this into the relevant directory on the laptop, or are there any risks involved? I'm at work and don't want to be responsible for a broken laptop.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe
This is the full offline installer which will work on an unconnected machine, caution though it's 235MB so it might take a while to download.
Good Luck!
Edit:
For future reference Microsoft call their offline installers "Network" versions usually so a search for "Whatever Network installer" will get you on the right path most of the time.

Yeah just found that 2 seconds before I read your message. Who thought Microsoft would be so efficient?
Thanks again!

That's the mini installer that grabs the rest from the internet.
