An email has just been sent round the department....

...about a certain software company getting a bit uppity after they managed to find out about certain instances of their software being on some people's computers and not being licensed properly; that is to say, they are effectively "illegal" copies. Obviously, this presents very serious consequences for the department and the people who have this copy on their computers, and so the email is stipulating that action will rapidly be taken to correct the problem, perhaps even quarantining certain machines and so forth...

...and, in spite of the urgency of this issue, the bloke who sent it felt the need to write it in Comic Sans. Seriously.

Yup,
A new girl in our office started on Monday, and when querying the general standard for e-mail signatures (I told her to just copy/edit mine), she let me know that generally she likes to use Comic Sans.

Didn't have the heart to tell her...

We had an e-mail sent round recently
about people flouting the smoking ban, and smoking in doorways and so on.

It was very stern in tone, and promised evisceration and flaying for those who deign to smoke a cigarette within 6 miles of a building (well OK, maybe not quite!)

But its impact was immediately reduced by the fact it was written in Comic Sans.

One of my classmates in Uni
got points deducted for using comic sans. That lecturer deserves a fucking medal.

we used to remove Comic Sans from the standard build images. :-)
