I like
lighting the stove (because my logs are just sawn up furniture so they don't get stolen) and sitting in front of the stove drinking either red wine or a nice beer and listening to the "rawrrrrrrrrrrr" noise it makes when things burn.

The shorter day thing sucks hippocock though. Also, I keep waking up an hour too early since the clocks went back.

My friend has a house in Cumbria with a stove, and I'm allowed to stay there.

Someone did suggest
that I slaver the logs in shite so they'd be left alone - I think this is similar thinking. They'd both smell.
