Yep!
Watched them all, the scene with the 1am knocking on the walls was genius. The Ringu films rocked too. Need to get hold of a copy of Dark Water as I've not seen that yet. Can you recommend any more films of that ilk Miss Flam? I'm in a J-Horror mood again now.

Oh totally get hold of a copy of
the original Dark Water, its my favourite Japanese horror film! Its sooo sooo good, the re-make is terrible in comparison!! I’ll have a think about other good films to recommend.

My friend Terri introduced me to J-Horror and old dodgy horror films that keep being re-made like Last House on the Left (she’s a bit of a buff).

The old ones are usually the best I love the Wishmaster films, they're so shit they're great!

I'd forgotten all about them. Got a copy of Puppet master a few weeks back, there's another classic. They don't make them like that any more.
I'm prudish about remakes as well, refuse to watch the American versions as they have no idea about atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised with a recent French-Canadian film called Martyrs though, check that one out if you haven't already, seriously twisted and atmospheric.
