This hurts me to say.
More than you can possibly comprehend.

Kaol was right. There, I said it.

Zombieland is fucking genius! I advise all to go and watch it, it'll be the best laugh you've had in a long time!

Alternatively, what film has scared you the most?
Mine is The Shining. Those little girls freaked the shit out of me for years!

Tomoko from Ju-On
and his mother crawling crab-like down the stairs. Eeeek!

I second this
I bloody love Ju-On,

Zombie schoolgirls!

Yep!
Watched them all, the scene with the 1am knocking on the walls was genius. The Ringu films rocked too. Need to get hold of a copy of Dark Water as I've not seen that yet. Can you recommend any more films of that ilk Miss Flam? I'm in a J-Horror mood again now.

Oh totally get hold of a copy of
the original Dark Water, its my favourite Japanese horror film! Its sooo sooo good, the re-make is terrible in comparison!! I’ll have a think about other good films to recommend.

My friend Terri introduced me to J-Horror and old dodgy horror films that keep being re-made like Last House on the Left (she’s a bit of a buff).

The old ones are usually the best I love the Wishmaster films, they're so shit they're great!

Wishmaster!
I'd forgotten all about them. Got a copy of Puppet master a few weeks back, there's another classic. They don't make them like that any more.
I'm prudish about remakes as well, refuse to watch the American versions as they have no idea about atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised with a recent French-Canadian film called Martyrs though, check that one out if you haven't already, seriously twisted and atmospheric.

Haha
Puppet Master is ace!

Oooh I shall investigate Martyrs, thanks for that! :)

The shining still freaks me out
Because its so believable. I don't mean that ghosts exist more in the way that a man could go crazy see things and try and kill his family. Its a must for our Halloween party.

I love the film
but I love the book even more, that gave me nightmares. The topiary lions!! *fears*

Coraline
I know it's supposed to be a kid's film, but it was really fucking creepy! Though as Ms Crow pointed out, it's probably because a lot of the things that happen in there would seem far creepier to an adult than they would to a child.

scariest was The Shining
until I saw The Orphanage. Dead children! In masks!! It doesn't get scarier than that. I had to sleep with the light on for two nights.

Ahh I really liked that film
The only bit I found scary was when the kid was trying to get her in the bathroom, that bit was freaky... but they wern't bad kids so I wasn't that afraid, very clever film though!!

Think i saw that one
Liked it, but not too memorable.

Salems Lot
I was only about 8 or 9 when I first saw it and it scared the shit out of me.

There was another film about killer bunnies that was pretty nasty as well, but i can't remember what it's called.

Scary
Candyman and Event Horizon. I still have occasional wake up in the night screamy moments. Apparently, as everyone tells me, that makes me a girl. Creepy fucking films though.

Zombieland is pure unadulterated genius and the girl in it (the older one) is fucking awesomely hot

I loved Zombieland! Best film of the year
The films that scared me the most would be the suspense/dread/atmosphere of the aforementioned J-Horror films like Ju-On and Ringu. I saw Umizaki too, a random J-Horror about spirals. Bit odd.

Not a film, but:
Ghostwatch, BBC One, 1990 (ish). Most. Terrifying. Programme. Ever.
