Well, he can't cook, thinks carrying an umbrella makes you gayand begrudges her the petrol to visit her dying mother, 45 minutes' drive away, once a week. Oh, and he disowned me for living in England with an Englishman to whom I was not married.

That sounds like a very similar personThe older generation really do have some very strange ideas indeed. I just can't fathom them out sometimes.
