Next week I have a "Club foot breakfast" to attend and bake for. 100 or so little kiddies with clubfoot (talipes equinovarus) we treated at work in the last year. I'd like to bake something relatively nutritious, as well as a sweet. Anyone got a sure-fire recipe for little people?
I've thought about savoury pancakes (in novel shapes), and perhaps some fish cakes - bearing in mind, we'll need some dishes that are vegetarian, pork free, kosher, halal and possibly nut free; I'm pretty sure someone will request gluten-free as well.
Any ideas?
thanks,

The usual brownies, fairy cakes, flapjacks, funky gingerbread shapes (this is win, especially if you get little tubes of icing and they can decorate them themselves), cheese scones or straws...
Man, my mouth is watering now.

I can give them little plaster booties (no, this won't offend anyone - these kids have been plastered mostly since birth - they might find it funny).
And I agree, tasty does not = nutritious. I'm trying for more tasty, with perhaps less junk (if possible).

Edited because I'm a patronising git.

though vodka may not be considered breakfast food . . . at least for children.

And lots of bacon.
You can just tell the muslim and jewish kids that it's some sort of fakeon.
Tell the veggies that their parents are being cunts to them and meat is GOOD.
As for nut allergies, that's just nature's way of getting rid of excess lardies.

tell my family that we need to cater for veggies, halal, kosher or nut allergies and you'll get the same blank look aunty-whatsername gave in My Big Fat Greek Wedding: "so you'll be having lamb then?"
However, my place of work is around a large Muslim/Indian population, and we like to make them feel comfortable.

It's a powder that I bought from the garden centre.
Oh hang on - you said 'foot' not 'root'...

I may have to trial this at home first . . . just to see it works, you know.
You could even add fruit syrup or berries . . . very promising!

as far as sweet things go, apple and honey flapjack is tasty, sweet, has fruit in it so you can pretend its healthy. It's a piece of piss to make and should offend none of the above. Oats do have gluten but its not much, so it depends how sensitive the kid is.
I have a recipe for brownies which can be GF'd as well but nutritious they most definitely are not...
Otherwise - since it's a breakfast - fruit pancakes? Eg, banana or blueberry pancakes with a nice dollop of cream or natural yoghurt, or whatever-free alternative. Gaz me if you need recipes :)
