of course they can be wrong.
People thinking U2 aren't fucking awful for example.
If someone is really stupid, or not in full possession of the facts, then their opinion can be wrong.

My mrs has a similar view
I bought 'Under a Blood Red Sky' as it is, in my opinion, bloody good. She likes some of the songs but won't listen to it as A) Its U2 and B) Bono is a twat.

yes
their songs are just so fucking amateurish. Vertigo for example was a huge piece of crap.
I wouldn't mind if they didn't have this massive hype and a reputation as biggest band in the world.
