I just can't believe the place is facing closure
They've played host to more than their fair share of truly shit bands, admittedly (e.g., U2 as Chompy so politely points out), but I never thought that place would struggle for business - particularly having seen it on the nights when The Hamsters played there. I can't help but think it's time to organise a mass gig attendance and simultaneously drink the place dry.

the only places I have seen gigs in London are the O2 and Brixton Academy
so I can't really comment. Exeter is woefully short of good venues, and therefore woefully short of good bands playing here.

I've heard there are some fucking awful local bands
that go round playing all this bluesy crap. I heard there was this one band where the guitarist keeps gurning mentally every time he plays a solo, which is most of the time as his beard keeps him stuck to the front of the stage like air velcro.

too fucking right
there are or were some really quite good local bands. Unfortunately they all seem to have disappeared leaving just mine. It's a sad time for the Exeter music scene
