I quite like Hugh Stevens late night on radio one,
zane lowe is a bit annoying and excitable but plays some good stuff.
In terms of bands/songs, I like Florence and the Machine Dizzie Rascal, pencil full of lead by some bloke is good fun.

I endorse this endorsement of late night Radio 1

it's the best it's been now, since Peel died.

Zane Lowe
Not to say that I find the man so insufferable that I'd want to physically harm him, but if I were to find myself locked in a room with him and a cheese grater then I would not be held responsible for my actions or the grating of his face.

Would you sprinkle with grated cheese?

And then lick it off?

In principle Zane Lowe's show should be good
but whenever I've put it on he seems to talk at high speed over some really weird high energy music.

I haven't heard much in the way of Florence and the Machine, she seems to be quite widely liked. I heard some of Noah and the Whale's new album the other night. Pretty different to the last stuff. rather orchestral in places.

I saw florence earlier in the year and she was amazing
but apparently her live shows are flagging a bit now because she's been touring non stop for 9 months ish.
Noah and the Whale are pretty good.

Noah and the Whale were excellent when I saw them
but if I had heard the first album first I wouldn't have gone, because it is really quite dreary, which was not how they performed it.

can understand someone flagging after 9 months of touring.

F&TM, I can't get over her voice, it grates me
Speech debelle now there is a star for the future, never before has someone so deserving of the Mercury prize actually won it.
