marijuana makes me stupid sleepy and sick
this place stimulates my brain, believe it or not.
It makes me strive to have proper spelling and gives me smug satisfaction when I correct my mates on their appalling spelling and diction.

does that to me
Haven't had any for years, doubt I'll bother again.
Had the same effect on my dad so he didn't bother either.

It only makes me sick if I have it after having booze.

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 13:58, Reply)
this happens a lot
I still get it badly after smoking for years. haven't thrown up for a while, but it makes me feel distinctly off.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:09, Reply)
I know a trick for this
as long as you're stoned before you start drinking as well, you should be OK.
Sober to drunk to stoned...to toilet, potentially.

Stoned to drunk to top-up stoned...should be OK provided bongs etc are not involved....

this is why I normally have a couple of crafty ones before drinking
doesn't help

I think the problem is that I'm quite a lightweight when it comes to booze these days. If I'm having a smoke afterwards then 3-4 pints is my absolute limit. well, it should be. It never happens and I'll have 8 pints and a few jagers, have a couple of j's then lie in bed spinning for an hour or so until it is safe to close my eyes.

God I HATE that
Far be it from me to proselytise, but cocaine removes any possibility of getting 'the whirlies'...
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:25, Reply)
I'll bear that in mind

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:27, Reply)
what there is instead is potentially 'gipping'
when it starts to trickle down the back of your throat, it can make you feel a touch nauseated for a second. this can be aggravated by taking a massive toke at the wrong moment.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:33, Reply)
I have heard of this
and think I could cope
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:39, Reply)
it's a minor inconvenience at most

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:41, Reply)
Or if you don't like charlie...
...an orange juice before bed stops whirlage.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:33, Reply)
seriously?
man, oranges have magic powers. they stop me getting twitchy if I have too much MSG as well
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:36, Reply)
Yes...
And you are right about the MSG. Always have some orange after Chinese food and you wont get the 4am jitters or the parched throat.

Trust me - I'm a doctor.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:39, Reply)
I am so trying the orange juice to stop the whirls thing
I'll need it on friday night as well.

awesome
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:40, Reply)
orange juice is also reputed
to help with bad trips - personally I think it's likely to be merely a placebo. If you're panicking and believe orange juice will 'save' you, chances are it will.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:41, Reply)
I have heard that...
One other OJ truism is that it counteracts the effect of methamphetamine - so if you have some good whizz or some bad E do not drink a juice or you will waste your money.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:43, Reply)
nothing wrong with a placebo
if it works :-)
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:59, Reply)
They are an under-rated band too.
