Now I just write. Poems, stories, whatever. It's a great way to vent.

I tend to write crappy stories etc and keep it on my computer rather than post it out in the world, its a good creative outlet! :D

mine are crappy but I bask in their crappy glory!

mine are relatively crappy but you're your own worst critic so you probably have good stories.

That's you. To me, you'll always be Dangermouse.
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 15:17, Reply)

As a kid I was called Dangermouse by my little friends because my initials are DM! :D
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 15:27, Reply)

I had pretty much insisted she dress as Dangermouse.
It went down well.
I was dressed as a vicar.

when she met her future son-in-law for the first time.

is an excellent fancy dress costume. I had an argument with DiT last Halloween as I wanted to go to a party dressed as DM and I wanted him to go as Penfold... he got angry and said he was Dangermouse... as a compromise I went as a bee and he went as a Viking.
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 15:36, Reply)

no one really wants to be Penfold... no one really wants to be Robin either... why be the shit sidekick when you can go for glory as the main dooood!

We can't always have our druthers. Put your foot down.
I'll tell him when I see him.

fighting ensues

minus the wealth and the moving back in bit
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 15:43, Reply)

Thank you, it was silly really. Gnomes meeting tri-annually at an undisclosed location to plot world domination… as you do.

I found a notebook full of my crappy songs the other day, they were terrible! How I laughed!! Hehehe
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:59, Reply)

The rest make me go red with embarrassment.
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 15:10, Reply)

I love it when you find things you wrote when you were younger and get really embarrassed! Hehe
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 15:16, Reply)

I've tried to actually write a song but they come out terrible
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 15:10, Reply)

and I can't get anywhere with it. my brain won't accept anything other than lyrical perfection, and yet is unable to provide it.
I stick to music instead
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 15:12, Reply)

If someone writes chords I can be interesting with melody and lyrics, but actually writing a song from nothing I CAN'T DO.
My ex is a prize nutter and it's such a shame because we wrote ace stuff and even won a couple of songwriting things in local clubs. We had very few friends so it was genuine recognition!
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 15:15, Reply)

count as making music? if it does, then i have 'made music'. Just jam for a while, loading in drum patterns, 303 melodies/squeals etc, then press record and start the ball rolling. It's excellent fun, however, the results can sound a tad repetative and samey, but sometimes dance music IS like that.
Then I think about knocking out one of those crappy hard house tracks, with the constant 4x4, cymbals and snare, fire in a 'soaring' female vocal, get the chipmunk filter onto it and thats it, job done!.
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 16:01, Reply)

without the music - I've only ever made up riffs and soloed. The idea of a properly-structured song makes my head hurt. Hell, I'm impressed by The Ramones...
( , Wed 9 Dec 2009, 15:18, Reply)

none recorded unfortunately, but mostly I make up second guitar parts, and solo while making faces
