i teach English, and quite a lot of people find it easier to speak or listen to than read.
granted, english is a shite language for pronunciation - spanish is exactly as you would expect it to sound/appear

I can take my time and see similarities with English words. I wouldn't necessarily hear those similarities if somebody was speaking.

reading spanish or something is easier to a non-native than english is to a foreigner.
just remember that constipado is not constipated, and you should never "introducir" people
