Evenin' Spak.
My last day off before the 25th.

None too sober, I'm afraid. What ho!

Evenin' TD
Got nearly another two weeks before I'm off for Xmas. Am sober now but have been going through a week of Xmas parties.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 19:51, Reply)
Thinking about it
I'm actually working on Xmas day too. I park up at 02.00 on the 25th.

Kids in North Leeds may gaze out of their windows hoping to see santa flying through the sky but may see me driving past in a knackered bus instead.

And instead of presents in their stockings
they're getting clouds of diesel fumes in their lungs.

Diesel Fumes
Made me the man I am today.

Can I sue Rudolf Diesel retrospectively, d'you think?
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:14, Reply)
If not, sue Vin Diesel.

I too don't want an Xmas name. I've grown too fond of my username and wouldn't give it up for anything in the world.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 19:53, Reply)
I think we should trade

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 19:59, Reply)
Nah thanks
I prefer to keep mine. But if you really want, you can rename yourself 'kristinespakkalass'.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:12, Reply)
haha charming

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:14, Reply)
Ah well. Your choice.
But if you don't mark your 'territory', someone else will.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:23, Reply)
what exactly are you trying to say?

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:27, Reply)
Someone else
will want to incorporate elements of my username in theirs.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:44, Reply)
I'm not sure which elements I'd like to incorporate

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:47, Reply)
Maybe you could be mistakristineman
but come to think of it that suits me better than it does you.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:53, Reply)

Tomorrow I get to go and play with trains in their natural habitat, the depot. Having to get up at 6 for this is not really sweetening the deal...
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:22, Reply)
how'd the interview go????

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:25, Reply)
Shite - the written part was absolutely no problem, but they asked me all the wrong questions
when I got in there and some of my answers made them go o.O

I'll get it if all the other applicants die, I think.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:30, Reply)
aww fuckers

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:47, Reply)
I know :( apparently it was harder deliberately to ensure they headhunt the best...

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:59, Reply)
That can be... arranged
I'm just saying. You've got "friends".
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:48, Reply)
Ooo.
Could you bump off Stalker Girl while you're at it, do you think?
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:57, Reply)
Easier
An overdose would come as no surprise to anyone. *sinisters*
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 21:08, Reply)
I wouldn't lose all hope just yet.
Sometimes, they may make the process look deliberately hard. You may be led to thinking you didn't get the job, when in fact, you could end up getting it. Maybe they deliberately asked the wrong questions and are more interested in what you got right. Or the other applicants were crap.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:52, Reply)
That's what they've done - they know I can write letters, they know I can do emails
and they know I can do it in French. Plus I had a splitting headache and felt very, very sick for most of the day...
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:59, Reply)

Trains in their natural habitat.
I can just imagine a bunch of trains shunting around a siding ready to pounce on their prey. David Bellamy could film a wildlife documentary and hide behind a signal and use a passenger as bait to lure a wild train.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:41, Reply)
Or a Pokéball.
If you stun it first.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:45, Reply)
Enough about Trains....
...it's like being at work in here! Moar fluffieth pls.

Eyup yer buggers
I have been to the gym and stopped for a £3.50 carvery on the way home. My new genius plan to have a proper evening meal without carbs is to hit the carveries before 7pm (when they start charging evening prices).

Evening TLiC
My own not-so-genius plan is that I'm just accepting that winter weight-gain is inevitable, and so is the spring weight-loss.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 20:57, Reply)
Excellent stuff. I'd kill for some meat right now,
but can't get any shopping in till after pay day.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 21:02, Reply)
"I'd kill for some meat"
Surely you've just solved your own problem right there. I hear Soylent Green is very tasty.

*aims Gattling crossbow at Crazy Lady's window*

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 21:43, Reply)
Or...
You could just invest in some window coverings that offer some privacy... and stop getting on *her* bus...

.. and move out of stalker range... :-)

(ducks and runs for cover)
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 22:09, Reply)
Oh, you can't use that bus.
That's *my* bus.

But moving requires eeeeeeffoooooort!
