Well I think currents/raisins/sultanas improve most desserts
Carrot cake needs them! I recon they'd even be good in a chocolate cake. And to not put them in scones is just wrong!

the sandwich van that we get has the best muffins ever, and they are carrot cake ones, with some kind of icing, buttercream, or some cheese or something.
