It is 1030 hrs, two days before Christmas, and I'm sitting here in my office (hah! More of a caravan - it's a fibro shack with carpet), doing paperwork. I'm on-call, which means I stay here in case someone falls over, but (and here's the rub) - I can only operate on children - all adults get sent to another hospital! WTF? Six years of Orthopaedic training to sit and wait for broken arms. On-call means fielding phone calls from anyone and everyone, that always seem to start with "I'm not that great at reading X-rays, but ..." Legless can read an X-ray with reasonable accuracy, and describe them better that some I've heard with medical training.
Give me a joke . . . in fact, put up some examples of fuckwittery to keep everyone laughing while I look at *another* normal X-ray . . .

I bought some of that Velcro the other day.
What a rip off.

like a loon . . . thankfully I'm alone here, and no one will think I'm strange for laughing at my laptop.

In Richmond, snow is considered to be a Major Emergency, calling for all to stock up on milk and eggs and bread, even though people don't always eat them. (What are they going to do- make an assload of French toast?)
My daughter got stuck on my street, which was coated in ice, and I had to pull her out with my car. As I hooked up the tow cable I told her, "What do you do with a dog with no legs? Call him Cigarette and take him out for a drag, just like I'm gonna do for you."
I'm not sure if she was amused.

Result! I thought when I looked in my drawer and found a Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Chunks yoghurt! However, as I peeled off the lid I realised that some pilfering b@stard has already opened one side of it and nicked all of my Cadbury’s Chunks!
