Sorry to bore you further with this
but has anyone got any experience with Smeg cookers?

Generic nob cheese joke

(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:03, Reply)
The GNCJ
would have been more appropriate if Vipros had asked about Smeg washers. Then the 'I just use soap and water' lines would have been coming thick and fast.
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:08, Reply)
They tend to melt
when switched on. Otherwise I have no experience of them.
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:04, Reply)
I heard they make a lovely chocolate tea pot

(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:05, Reply)
I do know that they are all of the sexy
I wanted smeg for my kitchen, but it was out of my reach like just like the fucking I-Phone which taunts me so
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:05, Reply)
is this about Red Dwarf?

(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:08, Reply)
lamentably no
it's about cookers, made by the brand Smeg
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:10, Reply)
I have heard that they aren't that great
Sort of like the fridges. They are beautiful-retro-joy to look at, but they are actually a bit shit when it comes to the working etc.
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:10, Reply)
useful pointer
they are quite expensive, but my folks offered me some cash, so was considering one.

this shopping for a cooker business is driving me mental

Form over function you know it makes sense

just look how well apple do...
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:11, Reply)
Apple do function as well as form though
albeit at a price.
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:14, Reply)
True

But I find I-Tunes soooo infuriating that I sometimes can't breath with the rage!
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:27, Reply)
Could you not
just get a pile of sticks and a match, and go back to the old way of cooking?

No, probably not.

Well, buy a Miele then. You'll have to take out a second mortgage, but it'll still be going once you've paid it off.
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:13, Reply)
It is a bit of a ballache shopping for cookers and fridges and other kitchen thingys
What about Hotpoint - their stuff is great and lasts well! :D
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:19, Reply)
the other option is a hotpoint one
which is about £300 cheaper than the smeg.
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:24, Reply)
You should start a poll - I would vote smeg

because I'm shallow and like pretty things
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:25, Reply)
I am also shallow and like pretty things
but I'd probably go for a cheaper cooker and spend the rest of the money on shoes or booze or pizza! :D
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:45, Reply)
Coincidentally
With a bit of tippex and a magic marker, it could quite easily be changed to a 'smug' cooker...

Yep
Tend to only pipe up when I have something worth saying and the time to bother saying it.

Sadly these two occasions do not often coincide.
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 15:27, Reply)
Believe me very few people wait to have something interesting to say...
EDIT: Including me
