Blur
Used to do my head in, love them now.
Same goes for Arcade Fire and, *shifty eyes*, Placebo.

I LOVE Placebo.
Pure Morning and Taste in Men are awesome tracks.

They're ace
They really are. Can't stop listening to Hang onto Your IQ and I Know at the moment.

They've an endless list of decent tunes, it just took me a while to realise and then admit it to other people.

Curious coincidence.
The first band I went to see at what was Newcastle polytechnic (now Northumbria university) was the Pixies. They played Where is my Mind as an encore. The last band I saw there was Placebo. They played Where is my Mind as an encore.

Another coincidence
I'm currently at Northumbria University. Well, I'm back in SE London for Christmas.

Ever since the Academy opened in Newcastle both uni's have shite gigs going on, the best on offer last term was Jamie T. Not quite the same level as The Pixies or Placebo.
