Just found out that al had been naughty stepped
So in retaliation I was going to construct a highly amusing or as close to highly amusing as I can manage piss-taking post as my alter ego: The Modgazzer General. After logging in though I was confronted with this message.

2010-01-06 comedy sockpuppet cleaning time!

Anybody else lost an account? I feel like a schizophrenic who's been cured - all alone in the world.

EDIT: Ahahaha, I see Gonz' picture of me made it to the Popular page. Quality.

I don't use sockpuppets.
I say what I have to say with pride and my head held high.

Apart from when I get maudlin and complain about my love life.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:06, Reply)
I'm shit at imitation and insults so it would be pointless to have an extra account for that purpose

(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:10, Reply)
Nope, mine's still there to safeguard my username if ever I need it
Yours may have been for username related issues I feel though.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:11, Reply)
Aye quite possibly
It did say 'comedy' sockpuppet. Hey ho, the joke was no longer funny anyway.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:15, Reply)
Bit harsh
Definitely a bit harsh. That's my tuppence, though you have to bend to the sensibilities of the people actually employed by the site you're using, blah blah, oh well etc.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:16, Reply)
BTW
There is no scientifically-tested cure for schizophrenia and your rehash of the old joke "you're never alone with schizophrenia" is frankly pretty shit.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:18, Reply)
i have a spare account
but i don't use it for trolling so it appears to have been spared the cull
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:22, Reply)
Being slow and not here very much any more
What did he do to get stepped?
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:26, Reply)
repeatedly took the piss out of blaireau69
with his stolen username. I think.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:28, Reply)
Ahh I read the thread where Vippy was complaining about being out of the loop.
Poor Al. I'm sure he'll survive.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:35, Reply)
I was trolling so I shouldn't be surprised
albeit not directed at any specific individuals but I think the point remains valid. This is b3ta, if you're a touchy sort of person you're in the wrong place.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:27, Reply)
I like being touched and I cope very well on here : )

(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 21:48, Reply)
That's what got me here...and kept me here

(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 22:19, Reply)
Mine's still there
but I use mine to either post on qotw or only occasionally trolling when I'm feeling evil.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 22:18, Reply)
Erm...
Aren't you a sock-puppet yourself?
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 22:21, Reply)
I'm sure he/she/it is.
Shocking. Positively shocking.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 22:41, Reply)
I am outraged.
The Modgazzer General was a force for good in this crazy, mixed up world we live in today.

Kind of like Spiderman.

I've a good mind to gaz the fucking mods about this, I tell you.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 22:37, Reply)
What's all this nonsense about 'comedy accounts'?
I don't get here very often on account of me being otherwise indisposed entertaining my right arm a lot. And down the bookies.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 22:40, Reply)
The Modgazzer General was in no way whatsoever
a 'comedy account'.

The very idea is laughable.

Ha ha ha.

Do you see? I laughed.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 22:49, Reply)
I miss the Modgazzer General
I didn't even know who it was.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 23:03, Reply)
Once I saw Modgazzer 'accidentally' log in wrongly
but kind of thought it might be a double bluff.
Silly mods. Who cares?
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 23:08, Reply)
No
that was just me being a spakka
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 23:19, Reply)
We all miss the General, Roots,
we all do.

We'll just have to pick ourselves up and try to carry on.

Just like he'd be doing now if he was still with us....

*breaks down*
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 23:15, Reply)
He was a source of inspiration to many
He'll never truly be gone as long as we remember him.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 23:18, Reply)
It's...
...it's what he would have wanted...

*blubs uncontrollably*

I'm sorry, can we stop filming please.
(, Thu 7 Jan 2010, 23:22, Reply)
Maybe
just maybe, he could be, y'know, 're-animated'

it's a crazy plan i tell ye, crazy......but it might just work
